Revolution In The Packaging
Revolution In The Packaging And Mailing Industry
Every industry that exists has gone through a complete make over in how they were working a decade or two ago. It would not be wrong to say that the world is going at a very past pace and things have changed as to how they were and new technologies are coming at a very fast pace and completely changing the processes of how things used to be. Let us take an example of combining both the packaging and mailing. You are sitting in your home and you like something on Internet and you place an order for that product. It will arrive at your home in a week or two and you will see how neatly the product is being packaged and arrived in one piece at your home.
This just did not happen overnight but took time for the professionals to figure out through decades as to what would be the best route to package the specific product so that it is safe and not damaged while being shipped to the customer. There are different packaging protocols for different items such as food, hardware, steel ware, iron, clothing, etc. you name it. The process through which they are being packaged is something that has taken years to develop and still better ways are being introduced every now and then to determine as to what could be better than how packaging is being done now.
If a general question is being asked as to what would be the packaging process of potato chips, well the quick answer would be to pack them in plastic bags, then the question arises, what kind of plastic bags, what material should have been used to make that, how long of a shelf life it can provide to the product, what preservatives should be used to prevent that specific food item from being rot, what kind of ink to be used for printing purposes, and you can ask questions on and on just related to the ideal packaging protocol. This is how things evolve with time and the different questions being answered and proper protocols being devised.
This evolutionary process has not only turned over the package industry but also how mails are being sent throughout the world. We all know a word e-mail, which means electronic mail. Through this you do not need to have a pen or paper but just a computer, an internet connection and an e-mail account and with that you can send and receive mails throughout the world and not only that in just a blink of an eye. Isn’t that amazing? Yes it is. This is how the world has revolutionized in terms of mailing throughout the world and no doubt that it had an effect on the conventional mailing but still the conventional mailing is not completely taken over by e-mailing.
There are still billions of people out there who communicate through the regular mailing system, for example most businesses use the conventional mailing system to communicate with their clients, we receive bills through regular mails, a lot of marketing and promotional material is what we receive in our mailbox. So it would be wrong to say that e-mail has completely taken over the regular mailing system.
